|Tavaresia x meintjesii
Jerry Barad photographed this plant in its habitat and realized it was a natural hybrid of Tavaresia barkleyi and Stapelia gettliffei. He successfully repeated this cross at home in his greenhouse.
My two plants of this hybrid spent the Summer outside in full sun and are now budding and this plant produced its first flower.
Looking at the very pretty markings on this flower, etched in maroon, this is an exceptional beautiful Stapeliad.
This particular plant was bought from Shoalcreek Succulents, my second plant ( not pictured here) came from Dr. Barad's greenhouse directly.
