I had bought the Ascocenda Bicentennial in 2000 at a local garden store together with the Ascocenda Fuchs Joy. For five years Fuchs Joy flowered happily every Spring, Bicentennial just sat there not saying a peep. I was about to give up on it and make room for a more freely flowering plant, when I discovered a nice spike. Finally!!
Progressing spike, looking good!
This week all flowers are open, pretty!! I like the markings, little dashes and dots.
And see below - a close up of one of the sparkling flowers, the plant has earned its upkeep.
