August 29. 2006 Huernia herrei I received a few years ago a few healthy peanut size segments in a trade from Joe Dougherty. Slowly, slowly they filled out their little dish and started to flower this week for the first time in my hands. The flowers measure a little over an inch and they are very cute. I didn't detect any smell so far.

And the plant -
I picked up this little basket of Huernia zebrina at the Parkside Orchid Fest last month. One of the vendors sold them in rows of these white baskets for 10 $. It was too good to pass up.
